photography as a way of experiencing life.

to do photography is by nature, to be bold, the simple act of stepping behind a lens, to hunt, aim and capture a scene, is intrusive; for me photography is a way to face another angle of reality, to portray and inmortalice from a different side, to engage in conversation and for each conversation there is a different language because it will never be the same moment again.

in my daily life, i find myself surrounded by people who don't consider themselves to be "photographable" and by the time they have told me so, my mind has already thought of different light sets, color grading and even styling to make it work, the same thing started happening along other tastes like traveling photography, personal, bts, product shots etc; photography became a way to appreciate the small, trivial details that are waiting at every corner.

about me

A visual artist born in Mexico City, since young I've moved around and raised mostly in places like Oaxaca and Chiapas; with my younger years spent by traveling, I acquired a taste for documenting details, moments and people I find interesting.

My portraiture interests revolve around editorial, fashion, B.T.S, business and street photography but lately I have found a deep love for capturing scenarios and everything I can put a face on; whilst focusing on capturing the confidence, grace and storytelling in my shots. Amongst my gear I use mainly Canon and Sony, on film I try Yashica (medium format) and Minolta. My favorite lens is any 50mm f1.8.

Between projects, I enjoy teaching about production values, photography and creative thinking to first timers, amateurs and young kids.

(I also write haikus, small stories and oil painting.)
